Rebuilding a learning space in the city: spatial and socio-cognitive effects of using an educational 3D virtual world at school
Abstract
The communication is focused on the features of the digital economy and their evolution toward avatarial relationships on the internet linked to the transformed identities building processes. We assume that virtual worlds have affordance with the individuals' multiple identities creation. Socio-material properties of virtual world are described and used in a case study highlighting the meaning of this king of technological uses and innovation within the educational crisis for middle school in France.
