Amateurisme cartographique et géographique à l'heure du web 2.0
Résumé
The production and diffusion of geographical knowledge are experiencing further changes with the emergence of Web 2.0 and the virtual globes (Google Earth from Google, Virtual Earth from Microsoft, WorldWind from NASA). The result appears as a geographical production, out of areas which, until recently, were the originators and obliged users: Universities, research organizations, professional geographers, states, NGOs, military, maps and satellite imagery producers... This article focuses on these new uses and tries to see the specificity and issues. Based from an overview about the concept of neogeography, it introduces the four fundamental actions of this world (geolocalize, create, respond and challenge).
