Résumé
Excavated by the French Archaeological Mission (1976-2006), the site of Shabwa, the former capital of the kingdom of Ḥadramawt, shelters in addition to several public monuments (temples, palace), it is equipped with a double wall, the first phase of which dates back to the 7th century. av. AD From these walls few inscriptions have come down to us commemorating the construction work.
Fouillé par la Mission archéologique française (1976-2006), le site de Shabwa, l'ancienne capitale du royaume du Ḥadramawt, abrite, outre plusieurs monuments publics (temples, palais, il est muni d''une double enceinte dont la première phase remonterait au VIIe s. av. J.-C. De ces murailles peu d'inscriptions nous sont parvenues commémorant les travaux de construction.
