The United States has been the prey of many epidemics. Each time there was a racial dimension as is the case with COVID-19. In the early weeks of the disease African-Americans and Latinos were hit harder than other portions of the population. Covid-19 offers an opportunity to revisit the famous 1793 yellow fever in Philadelphia which caused African-American leaders to complain of the discrimination which they were faced..
