Electromagnetic prospecting at two polish sites (Slonowice and Milanowek) with the SH3 Slingram device

Résumé

Results of the geophysical research at two sites in Poland are presented: at a Neolithic defended settlement at Slonowice and an iron-smelting site in Milan6wek-Falçcin. The electromagnetic method was the basic method applied; different versions of SH 3 instrument were used. Results of the magnetic survey, with the use of a proton magnetometer are also presented. The efficiency of these methods when applied to the research of the sites of the types mentioned above, is discussed. In the introduction, the concept of the Slingram instruments is briefly presented.
