Children in Europe is a new half-yearly magazine, and a collaboration between a network of national magazines from seven European countries (Netherland, Spain, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark). The perspective of this first issue is "on listening to young children". The first issue focuses on listening to young children and features articles on the celebrated Reggio Emilia centres in Italy; the national policy on listening to young children in Denmark; the mosaic approach to listening; local children's councils in France and developments in Belgium and the Netherlands. The magazine was launched on Friday 7 September 2001 in Glasgow. Subscription to the magazine costs £7 per year. For more information about the magazine contact Moira Cameron on 0131 222 2410.
