Application of Magnetic Resonance Soundings and ERT Measurement to Characterize the Transition Between Sediment and Crystalline rocks
Résumé
Crystalline basement rocks at the surface are both surface water resources and an analogue of deep reservoir used for geothermal exploitation. We present here a geophysical survey realized in the East of France, at an outcrop in a quarry allowing to characterize the transition zone between sediments and basement. We applied electrical resistivity measurements and magnetic resonance soundings and highlighted water-bearing structures in the sandstone and in the basement, showing lateral variations.
