Feasibility Demonstration of a Ka-Band Linearized Channel Amplifier in Silicon Technology for Space Applications

Résumé

This paper presents the realization, implementation and characterizations of a Ka-Band (17.3-20.2GHz] linearized channel amplifier (LCAMP) for Space Travelling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA). 130nm SiGe technology has been used. If the RF line-up demonstrator is not directly functional, as shifted in frequency, it validates the feasibility of a LCAMP in silicon technologies at such high frequencies, hence allowing to consider a drastic mass, footprint and cost reduction of such equipments.
