Doubly-resonant phoxonic crystal for enhanced acousto-optical interaction
Résumé
We consider the problem of designing a phoxonic crystal - i.e., a simultaneous photonic and phoxonic crystal structure - that would allow the interaction of optical and acoustic waves to be enhanced. Such a structure can operate in the sub-wavelength regime, where wavelength refers to both optical and acoustic waves. Potential applications are for instance to sensors of vibrations in nanophotonic structures or to highly integrated acousto-optical modulators.
