Smart micro-grid energy management strategies - A review

Résumé

By integration of renewable energy sources [Wind, Photovoltaic (PV), Ocean energy (Tidal and Wave)…], powerful and advanced management, control and optimization techniques become essential. This paper presents a review about the latest studies of optimization activities and management systems applications in smart grid. The reviewed management systems are classified into two group: the centralized and the decentralized systems. The decentralized management system reviewed in this paper defines mainly the multi agent systems (MAS). A comparison between different multi agent system (MAS) platforms is presented also in this paper as a guide of selection of the suitable platform for definite application.
