Towards a MARTE Extension to Address Adaptation Mechanisms

Résumé

The profile for Modeling and Analysis of Real-Time and Embedded systems (MARTE) defines a framework forannotating non-functional properties of embedded systems. Inparticular, the SAM (Schedulability Analysis Model) sub-profileoffers stereotypes for annotating UML models with the neededinformation which will be extracted to fulfill a scheduling phase. However, SAM does not allow designers to specify data to beused in the context of adaptive systems development. In thisposition paper, we present the related works around thedevelopment of adaptive real-time and embedded systems anddiscuss why we seek to improve the meta-models of MARTE.
