Deuterium 3D NMR experiments for analysing weakly aligned, isotopically enriched solutes

Résumé

In this contribution we report three new pure absorption mode deuterium 3D NMR experiments to analyse spectra of isotopi-cally enriched solutes dissolved in weakly orienting liquid crystals. The potentialities of these 3D strategies are illustrated using the perdeuterated 1-butanol, a prochiral molecule of Cs symmetry in average, dissolved in a chiral mesophase made of poly-c-benzyl-L-glutamate. The experimental results obtained for the three types of experiments are discussed and compared.
