Over the course of the years, French language has been – and is still – impacted by various interferences and additions from the English language, such as loanwords, as well as a growing and alarming degradation of lexical and grammatical competencies of native speakers; furthermore, it has to face the development of young people language, typically tied to a specific area or social-cultural group. This article will attempt to present key decisions taken by the French government for primary schools, high schools and university, in order to safeguard the French language from these changes.
