A class of symmetry invariant subgrid models. Application to a ventilated room

Résumé

In order to respect the physics underlying Navier-Stokes equations (conser-vation laws, wall laws, Kolmogorov spectra,. . .), new turbulence models which preserve the symmetry group of the equations are derived. A simple one of these models is then used to simulate a flow within a 3D-ventilated room. Results are compared to those obtained with standard models. MOTIVATION
