Catalyst-free growth of single crystalline Bi2Se3 nanostructures for quantum transport studies
Résumé
We have grown single crystalline Bi2Se3 nanostructures directly on Si/SiO2 substrates using a chemical vapor transport method. The vapor transport was modeled by thermodynamic calculations, and the nanostructures were characterized by transmission electron microscopy and electrical transport. With the catalyst-free vapor transport, we are able to prepare thin nanostructures for the investigation of topological insulator surface states.
