Performance improvement and new applications of “Salt matrix voltammetry”

Résumé

Salt matrix voltammetry (SMV) experiments performed with K4Fe(CN)6 and FeCl2 in NH4Cl or NaCl matrices showed that the replacement of the calomel reference electrode used in the Dale et al.'s [1] original device with a silver rod significantly improved the voltammograms quality. Moreover, we demonstrated that this technique is suitable for investigating insoluble species as metallic copper and pyrite. Experiments in progress indicated that the SMV principle can be applied directly to clays.
