Integrated Optics DFB Lasers On Glass For High Radio-Frequency Generation

Résumé

In this paper, we study the capacity of glass integrated optics DFB lasers to generate millimeter wave and terahertz frequencies. We present the different technological parameters that can be adjusted to generate frequencies up to 8.8THz by photomixing two free running DFB lasers on glass. The impact of each parameter is explicitly demonstrated using simulations and experimental measurements.
