Résumé

This chapter presents the modeling and control of the DC microgrid in grid-connected and off-grid configurations. First the overview of the global system is presented as a multisource power system coupled with a control system dedicated to energy management. The control strategy aims to manage the power flow through the load with respect to its power demand and power sources constraints. Then the DC microgrid component behavior modeling based on interpreted Petri Net formalism is proposed. Finally numerical simulation results confirm the relevance of such integrated energy management and allow tracing the steps on smart grid integration. The results show that this approach is valid and can be a solution for future smart grid communication between smart buildings and the public grid and may contribute to a better grid power balance, integrated distributed production, self-consumption, and future energy management.
