Decoloniality, Queerness and Giddha
Résumé
This chapter addresses the concealment of non-Euroamerican queerness embedded in standard western narratives of progress and modernity in relation to non-heternormative gender and sexual configurations. Building upon the work of decolonial thinkers, it aims to uncover 'the myth of modernity' that places Europe in a dialectical relation to its other and marks, in the words of Enrique Dussel, the 'process of concealment or misrecognition of the non-European.
