Microstructure evolutions during drawing of a pearlitic steel containing 0.7 at.% copper
Résumé
A cold drawn pearlitic steel containing 0.7 at.% Cu was investigated thanks to transmission electron microscopy and three-dimensional atom probe. The plastic deformation leads to the dissolution of Cu clusters exhibited in the material before drawing, and locally, to the complete dissolution of cementite along with the formation of a martensitic structure.
