Use of discrtet computational methods (Lattice Boltzmann, Material Point Method and peridynamic) to predict wood properties
Résumé
This work is focused on the possibilities offered by meshless computational methods to perform up-scaling in wood using actual tissue morphologies obtained by microscopic images: LBM (Lattice-Bolzmann method) allows thermal conductivity and mass diffusivity to be predicted, MPM (Material Point Method), suitable to any mechanical behaviour including with large deformation, allowed us to simulate collapse due to drying, Peridynamic is used to predict the fracture pathway in the cellular arrangement.
