Solubility of a pharmaceutical solid in supercritical mixtures : measurements and modelling

Résumé

The solubility in supercritical fluids of a solid of pharmaceutical interest has been investigated by means of an orifginal apparatus. Solubility values of this solid in supercritical pure CO2 in the pressure range of 8-30 MPa are reported along the isotherms 308.15 and 318.15 K. The data are then correlated using the Chrastil model, an empirical density-based model. The effect of a co-solvent, ethanol, has been examined under supercritical solutions as well.
