Numerical and experimental investigations of radio wave propagation at 2450 MHz for optimum network coverage

Résumé

Both numerical and experimental investigations are undertaken to evaluate the influence of the height of a transmitting antenna on the received electric field level. Half-wave dipole antennas at 2450 MHz are considered for the study. The experimental data confirm that the far field region is quickly attained when the transmitting antenna is located closer to the ground.
