Current and Future Architectures for Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control
Résumé
—Today's vehicles use coordination strategies downstream their subsystems to avoid conflicts. This is possible as far as a very limited number of integrated subsystems is concerned. This paper discusses the potential of this approach and proposes an eventual substitute. A brief review is given to speculate about the architectures' compatibility with respect to control problems. It appears that autonomous vehicles require additional subsystems for safety. Therefore, an upstream approach is no longer appropriate to handle vehicle's subsystems interactions.
