Development and characterisation of multilayer optics for SR, FEL and space applications in EUV and X-ray range (Orale)

Résumé

We report on the progress in the multilayer optics development at Laboratoire Charles Fabry. We will present recent results and discuss some aspects of design, fabrication and characterization of multilayer mirrors for various applications in the EUV and X-ray range. These are multilayer-coated beamline optics for synchrotron radiation and free-electron lasers facilities, systems for plasma diagnostics and solar imaging. As an example, the mirrors for FSI (Full Sun Imager) and HRI (High Resolution Imager) EUV telescopes of future Solar Orbiter space mission are entirely fabricated in our laboratory. They are coated with Al/Mo/SiC multilayers systems. We will also report on the characterisation of these coatings.
