Coarticulation in /kl/ sequences in French: a multisensor investigation of the timing of lingual gestures

Résumé

The timing of lingual gestures in the production of /kl/ clusters in read French sentences is reported in this poster. Our data indicates that the body and tip of the tongue do not behave as independent articulators. In fact, there is a strong resistance to coarticulation from /k/ to /l/.
