Verification of algorithm for point extraction from hyperbolic reflections in GPR data
Résumé
The main goal of this paper is to determine the characteristics of an algorithm for point extraction from hyperbolic reflections in Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) data with different acquisition settings. Analysis is performed on a series of experimental radargrams that were collected in real conditions, on the same location. Two district heating pipes DN250 in a trench, covered by compacted sand, were scanned and the acquisition was done by using a 900 MHz antenna. The pipe depth and the axial distance were measured when the trench was open. Measured dimensions were then compared with the values obtained by the algorithm.
