Extended Receive Antenna Shift Keying
Résumé
—The new spatial modulation schemes that appeared in the early twenty-first century allow for a new exploitation of the space to an increase in the spectral efficiency of MIMO systems. These new schemes commonly referred to as spatial modulations use the index of the transmit (resp. the receive) antenna to transmit additional data. We concentrate our study on the spatial modulations at the receiver side named Receive Antenna Shift Keying (RASK) where the new or additional data is provided by the index of the antenna towards which the transmit antennas concentrate the signal energy. A classical RASK scheme with Nr receive antennas allows for the transmission of log 2 Nr additional bits per symbol duration. We propose a novel scheme Extended RASK where the amount of additional bits is equal to Nr. The theoretical performance of the proposed ERASK scheme is validated through simulations and compared to the performance of RASK.
