Implementation of multiple thread pools based on distribution of service times

Résumé

Multithreading is the elementary approach used in web server to achieve high performance which can handle high number of requests from the client side. To improve currency for the purpose to minimize the response time and maximize the resource utilization. The existing scheme which is distributed frequency based optimization strategy DFBOS cannot distribute thread pools on the basis of service times it causes starvation, when starvation happens it decreases response time and node performance. The research aims is to explore the implementation of multiple thread pools based on distribution of service times to avoid starvation and achieve currency in server site. For comparing both strategies we have used a simulator named as Thread Pool Tester TPT which is a JAVA based simulator and it has shown that proposed strategy is much better than the existing DFBOS. The proposed scheme is used to increase the performance of server and reduce the wait time. The research has increased response time for 50 percentile 14 percent and for 90 percentile 13 percent.
