Dionysos chez Euphorion
Résumé
Dionysus is mentionned several times in Euphorion’s remaining fragments : the poet seems to take a peculiar interest in the representations of the god in the Greek world, particularly in Attica, but also at Delphi, linked with so-called orphic myths. The god does neither appear in an exotic feature, nor through the main panhellenic Dionysiac myths. Euphorion rather focuses on unusual episodes and epiclesis, that he manages to bring up to date through echoes with poetry and art of his time.
