Concentration-insensitive phos-phorescent OLEDs (PhOLEDs) for easy manufacturing process

Résumé

Two heterolepticiridium(III)complexesIr(piq)2(dbm) andIr(btp)2(acac) havebeentestedasemittersfor phosphorescent OLEDs(PhOLEDs).Interestingly,deviceperformanceexhibitedamarkedinsensitivityto the dopantconcentration.Inthisstudy,adibenzoylmethane(dbm)-basedcomplexhasalsobeentested for the first timeasdopantforOLEDs.Toevaluatetheemissivepropertiesofthisnewemitterbelonging to afamilyofcomplexesthathasnotbeeninvestigatedyet,identicaldeviceswerepreparedwiththe well-knownreddopantIr(btp)2(acac) forcomparison.ThenewcomplexIr(piq)2(dbm) exhibited comparable performancetothatobtainedwithIr(btp)2(acac).
