ADAPTATION OF THE RANDOM SETTLING METHOD FOR QUANTITATIVE STUDIES OF CALCAREOUS NANNOFOSSILS

Résumé

Often the nannopaleontologist faces difficulties performing absolute counts of nannofossil species when doing a quantitative analysis. The different techniques available for the preparation of microscopic slides that may be used for absolute counts of nannofossils are discussed. A slide preparation method inspired by the random settling technique of Moore is described.
