Wireless Low Power Transmission by microwaves in ISM Band
Résumé
This paper presents the study of a compact rectenna (rectifying antenna) array on a 11x9cm substrate for harvesting energy. Thus, to generate sufficient dc power for the considered input power range levels, a 2x5 planar array of small metamaterial-inspired antennas was designed. Each antenna incorporates its own rectifier to harvest dc power and is summed in series manner. However, if this energy is stored over time efficiently, realistic functions can be performed in discrete time intervals. Thus, to realize the energy management circuit block, we used a charge pump IC. Finally, experimental results show that it is possible to power a wireless remote sensor at 5 m and that adding a reflector to the back of the rectenna array increases the collected dc voltage.
