2.1. Survey on RRM proposals IEEE 802.16 BWA technology is emerging as a promising solution that provides QoS guarantees for heterogeneous classes of traffic with different QoS requirements. It offers the possibility of adapting the modulation and coding schemes based on the channel conditions and proposes a set of mechanisms such as packing and fragmentation to allow efficient use of the available bandwidth.
