EVREST: Electric Vehicle with Range Extender as a Sustainable Technology

Rochdi Trigui

Résumé

The EVREST project is a transnational European Project carried out in the framework of the ERA-NET Electromobility+ call. Three European countries are involved: France, Germany and Austria. The main idea of this project is to study how Electric Vehicles (EV) with a Range Extender (RE) could match the different usage patterns and what would be the impact of such a solution. Electric vehicles with RE would not be limited to urban trips. Occasional long distance trips would be possible and people living in low density areas could also be concerned. Technical, environmental, and social assessments will be done and will lead to a Sustainable Development Analysis.
