LES UNITÉS GRAPHIQUES DE L’ANCIEN ET DU MOYEN FRANÇAIS : UN LIEU D’OBSERVATION PRIVILÉGIÉ POUR UNE MEILLEURE APPROCHE DES PHÉNOMÈNES DE LEXICALISATION ET DE GRAMMATICALISATION DU FRANÇAIS?
Résumé
This paper investigates the relation between graphical sequences and grammatical units in Old and Middle French, in order to establish whether this relation is spontaneous or reflexive. The objective is to demonstrate that such relations are useful in gaining a better understanding of lexicalization and grammaticalization processes. These phenomena are thus provided a further angle of inquiry.
