Transient high frequency boosting of single bubble sonoluminescence

Résumé

Boosting of single bubble sonoluminescence is achieved by sending on the bubble a high frequency pulse of ultrasound. This pressure pulse is generated by eight piezo-electric transducers focused adaptively on the bubble. By changing the location of the pulse different regimes are available and the corresponding experimental results are compared with numerical simulations.
