Designing tasks for mathematically talented students

Résumé

For the Design Research project presented, a learning environment for mathematically talented and interested 7 th-grade students was investigated. The results show that the subject matter of graph theory offers both opportunities and means for students to develop their abilities. The data analysis showed likewise how the tasks might be modified in order to impose on their potential and thereby foster students' abilities of a formalized perception and pervasion of mathematical information and of generalization.
