The mediation of e-commerce and e-marketing-related anglicisms in French
Résumé
This study looks at e-commerce and e-marketing-related "anglicisms" in a limited corpus built from the introduction of two recent French works written by experts in French, both of which clearly have a communicative, informative, didactic aim and target similar audiences: students (perhaps also lay people) and professionals in related fields: 1. e-Markering & e-Commerce (Stenger & Bouliautaux-Lajoinie 2011) 2. Community management : comment faire des communautés web les meilleurs alliés des marques. (Chéreau 2012 (2nd ed.)). I specifically aim to look at the use of these "anglicisms" in discourse in the two works and identify the different mediation strategies and try to explain why those strategies are used, or not. I hypothesize that the presence or absence of mediation depends on several factors or values which may or may not operate at any level or many levels including: social, personal, textual, or linguistic.
