Hydrogenation of CO2 using plasma driven Ni/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst
Résumé
Mitigation of CO2 by means of hydrogenation to CH4 was investigated using Ni/ gamma-Al2O3 catalysts coupled non-thermal plasma dielectric barrier discharge reactor (NTP-DBD) as a function of temperature, plasma input power and CO2:H2 ratio. It was evidenced that, compared to conventional thermal catalysis, plasma-catalysis decreased the CO2 conversion temperature by 50°C. Furthermore, at 250°C, 10 wt% Ni/ gamma-Al2O3 has shown about 40% CO2 conversion and 70% CH4 selectivity.
