Résumé

A Moroccan diatomite is characterized chemically and physically. Mechanical properties of ceramics prepared by sintering at different temperatures ranging from 1050 to 1350 degrees C are studied. Compressive strength and Young modulus are determined by compression tests. Densification and evolution of the microstructure are followed by SEM and other tests.
