On the global stability of the coexistence equilibrium of a density dependent model of competition for one resource
Résumé
In this work, we study a model of two microbial species in competition on a single ressource in a chemostat with intra and inter-specific density dependent growth rates. We show for small enough terms of inter-specific competition, the global convergence to the coexistence equilibrium for any positive initial condition. For large enough terms of inter-specific competition, the system exhibits bistability with competitive exclusion of one species according to the initial condition.
