Résumé

We discuss in this paper the applications of copper vapour laser (CVL) and Cu/HBr (HyBrld) laser in the field of spectroscopy. After a short review we describe in detail three applications: time-resolved high resolution Fourier transform spectroscopy, spectroscopy of ultra vibrationaly excited states of molecules through very high sensitivity laser induced dispersed fluorescence spectroscopy (LIDFS) and intracavity stimulated emission spectroscopy in the presence of mode-lock. Finally we compare the performance of CVL and Cu/HBr lasers from a spectroscopist point of view.
