Size Control of Metal Nanoparticles Encapsulated in Zeolite Single Crystals and Application to Size-Selective Hydrogenation

Résumé

The synthesis of yolk-shell materials in which a single Au or Pt nanoparticle is encapsulated in a monocrystalline zeolite shell is reported. This original ship-in-a-bottle-type synthesis enables the preparation of isolated nanoparticles with perfect size control and narrow distribution [1]. The desired particle size can be obtained by simply adjusting the concentration of the solution of the metal precursor. This preparation method is also extented to the synthesis PtAg alloy particles with homogeneous composition.
