Electromagnetic Emissions Issues in the Home Environment

Résumé

Nowadays multimedia services offered in the home network and involuntary electromagnetic emissions from household appliances contribute to increase the electromagnetic noise in the home environment. All of these electromagnetic radiation sources, without treatment, can cause technical problems of electromagnetic compatibility and raise issues linked to public health. This article proposes to identify the sources of electromagnetic emissions in the home environment, and exposes the starting point of our study in order to model the sources of involuntary electromagnetic emissions, to simulate the in-home electromagnetic emission sources by numerical methods, and to propose mitigation methods for involuntary emissions.
