Résumé

In this paper, a test rig for measuring no-load power losses in planetary gears is presented. The influence of rotational speed, oil temperature and oil flow rate on power loss distribution in the gear unit are experimentally analysed. A number of experimental and numerical results concerning planet-carrier drag losses with and without oil injection are presented and commented upon.
