Experimental Study of Curvature and Line Width Effects on Characteristics of Printed Antennas Fed by Microstrip Line

Résumé

The effects of curvature on the characteristics of a rectangular patch antenna printed on cylindrical body and fed by microstrip line are studied experimentally. The influence of the width of the microstrip line on the input impedance is also investigated. The results show that a very important difference appears and that the curvature of the patch and width of the line cannot be neglected.
