Ultimate one dimensional confinement in self-assembled crystals
Résumé
We report on a neutron diffraction study of the selective compressibility in an organic aperiodic nanoporous crystal. Such a material is an example of ultimate confinement obtained by self-assembling. Measurements are performed under helium hydrostatic pressure. A lock-in at a simple commensurate ratio is obtained in hexadecane-urea, at room temperature around 4 kbar.
