High K ceramic for the miniaturization of planar and SIW filters
Résumé
One of the crucial challenges to be addressed by filter designers, stays the size reduction. Several ways can be explored to reach the necessary trade-off between size and electrical performances. Indeed, by considering all steps of conception from synthesis to the material choice and considering topology and technology, it is possible to greatly enhance this challenge. In recent years new opportunities emerged thanks to new materials with very high permittivity and low losses. This fact combined with the improvement of the simulation softwares and the increase of computer capabilities allow to envisage the design of very complex 3D structures. This workshop presentation will deal with: - Planar and SIW Filters on high-K substrate (r=90) - SIW filters on high-K LTCC Technology (r=65) - Multilayer planar filter
