Waveguides photo-written by femtosecond laser filament in chalcogenide glass

Résumé

These very strong light-matter interactions produce a permanent modification of the refractive index (An). Here we report on the positive and controllable An induced in chalcogenide glass and the possibility of writing waveguide in the bulk of the material.
